This page was created to aid the Ryder Hawaii installation team perform a retro-fit on 36 box and semi trucks.  We were able to provide some special aids because of the volume being shipped to one installation location.  Scroll down and see how VERITY can help in your project!  VERITY is more than happy to repeat this support when other retro-fit projects have like parameters.

When opening the installation kits, please note the stainless steel hardware for the ADD300Z is taped under the piece of cardboard on the top of the box.  This is done to prevent them from getting lost.

*Important Notice! *

Box 21 has extra parts in the top of box.
Although we added extra parts such as screws throughout the kits, the top of this box has some other hardware labeled in packets for ease of finding.

You will find 6 of our CBP7M cable pulls included to aid in your installations.  Although these are currently only made available to some of our volume install teams, we hope you will find them helpful and a great install time reducer.  These can connect to the camera extension cables in the trailer.  It allows for wire fish tape to be secured directly onto the cable and ensures no damage to the cable.

Until we made your set they were basic black or should I say "easy to lose black".  We added color to yours so they are easier to keep track of.

Why a C300P low mount camera on refrigerated trailers?
Although most information here shows the C300P as a low mounted camera, it is also extremely well suited to be a high mounted camera.

There are many reasons that we have accumulated over the years for using low mounted cameras.  I will make the list a brief as possible.

First and foremost is that with swing doors there is little to no room above the doors to mount a camera

Refrigeration warehouse dock curtains.  Often tend to misalign cameras over time. The cameras also cause mirror ripes in the curtains causing extra expense.  Plus, lost of cooling at the warehouse.

  • No need to break the seal on a refrigerated trailer to pull cables

  • Headers are most often hardened steel requiring heavy-duty drills, many drill bits (even the good ones) adding hours to install.  The cables run on the bottom of the trailer; it makes sense to keep the camera there.

  • Often refrigerated day cabs are delivering to store locations, some without loading docks.  A low mounted C300P allows for 3 times the viewing area and is extremely helpful when performing jack-knife turns.

  • There are multiple low camera locations available.  Our years of experience and installer & driver feedback makes a low mount the best choice on refrigerated trailers.

Competitors do not have this low mount solution
because it is exclusive to Verity
